Saulo Montalvo is an inmate at EC Brooks Correctional Facility in Muskegon, MI. He' s serving a life without parole sentence for a crime he was involved in as a teenager. But Jesus has made beauty out of the ashes of his life. This is Saulo's story. Feel free to download.
I Saw Him!
One of the things that convinces me that Jesus rose from the dead is the post -resurrection appearances of Jesus.
Paul says that among Jesus many appearances after his resurrection that he appeared to 500 of his followers at the same time. (See 1 Cor 15:3-8). Imagine what it would have been like someone in the crowd of 500. Imagine how that would have impacted your life. And listen as you imagine. I Saw Him The sun rose like a promise On that hill close to the sea Five hundred wishful pilgrims Not quite sure where this would lead As I stood there in the middle Filled with longing, filled with doubt I was shaken from my thoughts By my children’s happy shouts For standing strong and true, I swear this oath to you! I saw Him, breathing and alive I saw Him, right before my eyes I saw Him, felt the scars in his hands I saw Him, the risen perfect lamb I saw Him In a cold and wasting dungeon Hhaving given up on sleep A soldier dragged me out Where crosses lined the street He screamed, "You have a choice to walk away or die Save your ugly skin Curse this Jesus Christ" How could I deny...for with these very eyes! I saw Him… As I close my eyes in death...after my final breath.... I see Him, breathing and alive I see Him, right before my eyes I see Him and the scars in his hands I see Him, the reigning perfect lamb... I see Him, high and on a throne I see Him, I hear the thundering sound Angels and souls cry ‘worthy is the Lamb!’ I see Him, the invincible I AM...I see Him! When I was in Turkey this August I met Jihan, a Muslim background believer in Jesus. This is our conversation. As you will hear from Jihan, he was a devout Muslim and even when he began to become convinced about Jesus, he just couldn't cross the line. He cried out to Jesus "Show yourself to me!" And Jesus spoke to his heart saying: "Why are you so stubborn?" This is the story of a stubborn heart being transformed by the living Jesus! Hey I resemble that remark!

There are places in the world that represent the frontiers of the gospel. Those places where the message of Jesus Christ has never been taken by living, breathing messengers of Jesus. Many of those frontiers are in the Muslim world.
Alex is a young man from Michigan who, along with his wife and their small children have moved to one of those places in Central Asia. I had the chance to interview Alex on my radio show at Moody Radio West Michigan. Listen to Alex's powerful story. How he changed from an angry young man to a servant of Jesus in the Muslim world. Palpable Presence Think about a time you experienced God’s presence. For me it was at the summit of Mauna Kea on the big island of Hawaii in 2004. Teresa and I and our kids drove to the top at twilight. It was a harrowing trip to the top with steep drop offs on the edge of the road. When we reached the top it was dark and there was a light fog resting at the summit. A fog that was more like the Spirit of God hovering over the waters in the beginning, than just that misty, wet stuff. As I got out of the truck I could palpably feel the presence of God. Not that sweet, gentle presence but the awesome fear of the Lord. I felt a bit like Moses must have felt at the summit of Mt. Sinai. I just wanted to run from his fearful majesty. God used that experience to teach me something about his power. In particular his power to accomplish his purpose and destiny in my life. The ministry I'm involved in today was birthed in that sacred place. Let me hear your story! New Radio Gig!

First off and most important, I'm just a guy who's trying to follow Jesus and figure out where He's leading. Most of the time it's fun and sometimes it's really hard. You may or may not know that I'm a singer, songwriter, guitarist. My passion is following Jesus and making him known and I try to share that through my music. This passion to share Jesus through music has taken me to Russia, Turkey, Mexico, Thailand and Belgium. Now I've joined a ministry in Phoenix, Arizona and am using radio and music to, with love and respect, invite Muslims to follow Jesus www.frontiersusa.org.
